<p>
	Currently leeching still very much exists and this has been obvious forever. Just because it is not as effective as in some servers does not mean it doesn't exist. Further prevention of leeching is one of the changes out of a couple that I'm looking to add into Phoenix to improve the future.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	The plan is to introduce a timer which based on the % of damage dealt of a monster killed will determine the amount of seconds of "leech" you get. The amount of seconds per % of total damage dealt will be configurable per job but is currently at 1 seconds for every job except Beginners at 2 seconds, with a cap of 100 seconds.<br /><br />
	Current formula to determine the amount of seconds is below.
</p>

<pre class="ipsCode prettyprint lang-c prettyprinted">
<span class="pln">ceil</span><span class="pun">(</span><span class="pln">damage </span><span class="pun">/</span><span class="pln"> maxHp </span><span class="pun">*</span><span class="pln"> </span><span class="lit">100</span><span class="pun">)</span><span class="pln"> </span><span class="pun">*</span><span class="pln"> </span><span class="typ">JobMultiplier</span><span class="pun">[</span><span class="pln">jobCategory</span><span class="pun">]</span></pre>

<p>
	If you do 50% of the mobs health you get 50 seconds of "leeching"<br /><br />
	The amount of seconds you get to leech is given to you on mob kill but before exp is handed out.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Clerics &amp; Priests have special handling for heal.<br />
	Every heal that increases the HP of a party member, but not including yourself, will give 3 seconds of leech with a cap of 20 seconds. This is the same timer used for killing monsters. Healing while above this 20 second cap(From damaging mobs) will not increase the time until it drops below 20 seconds.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Players determined afk by this system will not contribute to total member count for Holy Symbol and Party Exp Bonus but will count towards the parties total level which is used for party exp split.<br />
	Bosses will increase the leech timer but ignore the active check and distribute exp normally.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Lenient with 2 mobs being 100 seconds of leeching. Should be used to determine afk not lazy people but will need to be seen in a real world use case to determine if any values need tweaking.

<p>
	With the addition of Restrictions we were still looking for ways to expand further on it and add more unique options for the players. Group Ironman was initially brought up in Tespia but I had no plans to implement it at that time of Restrictions initial release until the idea was brought up again recently.
</p>

<p>
	Group Ironman allows you to create a party with up to 5 other brand new Ironman characters to take on the world with just your friends.
</p>

<p>
	<br />
	Group Ironman required a few decisions to be made about how to handle it before development was started and some of the decisions &amp; possible ideas we thought of are below.
</p>

<ul><li>
		Party to handle groups as we shouldn't have groups &gt; 6 people anyway.
	</li>
	<li>
		Since its a party, groups are able to do every PQ except GPQ.
	</li>
	<li>
		A 6 man group can make a guild and attempt Zakum.
	</li>
	<li>
		Can only join a group if everyone has the same Restrictions.
	</li>
	<li>
		Leaving or being kicked from a group after leaving the First tutorial map blocks you from ever joining another group.
	</li>
	<li>
		Trading &amp; Drop Trading has to work.
	</li>
	<li>
		Exp &amp; Monster Drops has to properly support multiple ironman(if from the same group) killing a monster.
	</li>
	<li>
		FFA drops from monsters and PQs(HPQ) need to be handled properly for ironman &amp; group ironman
	</li>
	<li>
		Group Ironman players should not be shown in normal Ironman rankings.
	</li>
</ul><p>
	After initial development of Group Ironman it was silently added in a game update with some players from Tespia &amp; A few friends of Tespians having access to test it in a real world use case as I knew we wouldn't find every issue from artificial testing in Tespia.<br /><br />
	While Group ironman is still not 100% complete it is now known and we are looking for any feedback of possible issues, if x thing not mentioned is possible, etc.

<p>
	Some people have noticed <a href="https://playphoenix.net/rules" rel="">https://playphoenix.net/rules</a> has been changed.
</p>

<p>
	The changes are currently not in effect but are listed for people to start following them. We've done changes(or added) to the following sections. <br />
	"Macroing, Key Weighting, Third Party Software, Hacking, exploiting, and WZ Edits"<br />
	"Account Sharing"<br />
	"Multilogging"<br />
	"Knowingly exploiting a bug"
</p>

<p>
	<br />
	A possible change to the "Multilogging" rule could be done where instead of blocking just gaining exp on 2 characters at the same time, we would block multiclienting entirely which would also stop advantages gained by using buff mules. <a href="https://forum.playphoenix.net/topic/46-rule-changes/?do=findComment&amp;comment=156" rel="">Bit of my thought process is in a post below.</a>
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	A proper notification will be given when they are put into effect. If you have any feedback you can post it below.
</p>

<p>
	Phoenix is looking to introduce a custom feature that'll allow you to restrict what you have access to. Despite Phoenix being a low version 1x server people are still looking to expand on the challenge which is what Restrictions will hopefully introduce. When you first login to your new character you'll be given the option to enable specific restrictions based on what you might enjoy. Note, you will not be able to add new restrictions later on.
</p>

<p>
	<img alt="spacer.png" class="ipsImage" data-ratio="57.75" height="298" style="height:auto;" width="516" data-src="https://im.arnah.ca/ibeoNxR.png" src="https://forum.playphoenix.net/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

<p>
	The above picture shows what we currently offer in our testing of the feature. You can click on any of the options listed and be shown a description with an option to toggle the restriction. Some of these you might have heard before, others may be new.<br />

</p>

<p>
	<strong>Ironman</strong>, obviously inspired by the RuneScape mode, it restricts your ability to interact with other players by blocking things like trading, player shops, storage, partying, etc.<br /><strong>0.5x Exp</strong> is pretty self explanatory. You'll be given a permanent 0.5x exp debuff that STACKS with the Curse debuff(also 0.5x)<br /><strong>Four Slots</strong> is also pretty self explanatory, it reduces all your inventories to only 4 slots. Good luck thieves!<br /><strong>Hardcore</strong>(Added after the above picture). One life, if you die your character is deleted(But will be shown on the rankings)<br /><strong>Area Restricted</strong> adds a couple more options(Any restrictions ending with "Access") which allow you to specify what areas of the Maple World you would like to be able to access. By default you can trade with others which kind of defeats the purpose for certain people so you might be interested in combining this with Ironman.
</p>

<p>
	<br />
	Area Restricted wont be perfect as we will still be using the maps in whatever version Phoenix is emulating but it's better than nothing! If you don't select any other maps after enabling Area Restriction you'll only have access to the tutorial. If you select Orbis but not Victoria you'll not be able to actually access Orbis, so please keep this in mind.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Obviously, gaining achievements with Restrictions doesn't have the same meaning and you need a way to show off your level 70 on 0.5x which is why we will allow limiting your rankings search by each Restriction!<br /><br /><br /><br />
	As this is a feedback thread, we are looking for feedback on this feature and we'll be looking to release this feature to you soon assuming everything goes well.
