This magic attack is pretty much negligible and in fact worse than Silver Deputy Star, because the Mage in theory gets more INT through wearing a Deputy Star and therefore bonus MP on level up. Only better stats MoN has over Deputy Star is the HP and MP. Seeing as physical damage classes get 4 weapon attack, I think MoN should give 30 magic attack instead of 10, so it's a more significant upgrade. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

A magic attack buff would make this a much more viable option for luk mages, otherwise it's such a negligible upgrade compared to what every other physical attack class gets. Even the gain on lukless mages isn't as significant as others, given how weak magic scales. Here's the net difference when equipping a MoN vs. a Dep Star as a 120 Priest... + 7 Magic + 95 HP (105 HP Shield replaced with at minimum 5 luk esther to compensate for luk loss of deputy) - 35 Weapon & Magic Defense - X MP/level (5INT loss from dep star pushes stats below the threshold for additional mp gain) Like even the Rock Buff at Leafre gives more magic attack than physical attack, so in the same light, why shouldn't the MoN?
