i feel like its kinda unfair to use MG2 as an example when they literally do not do any first party advertising(afaik all the advertising is done BY THE PLAYERS), but a more apt comparison would be OSM. Their website was absolutely one of the best, and i think peenix website should follow in that style. They also had advertising outside of GTOP and streamer benefits(however marginal) As far as the job instructor quests go, i think your suggestion on top of a potion drop rate increase for lower level mobs(lets say up to level 40) in addition to ALL potions being able to drop in stacks of 1-5 would help a lot. There is definitely some effect to seeing certain content not being available. Because of peenix's current version, people will come in with the expectation that certain areas will be available, such as singapore or magatia. I feel like one aspect that is being completely ignored are quests. Questing in most RPGs helps a lot in making the game not feel stale, but in maplestory they are just dogshit, and are not consistent across all level ranges. I would love to see questing get a buff, and for MORE quests to be available. Why is this relevant to my comment about certain areas not being available? New areas come with new quests. By not having those quests there is less variety, eventually making the current places feel stale. I personally like to roam around, explore and do the random bullshit that the world has to offer. if only min/maxing mentality wasnt so strong...

Meso earning early on is a little harsh for potion costs

i believe increasing the potion drop rate for lower level mobs (say up to level 35) IN ADDITION TO potions dropping in more than just stacks of 1 would help a lot. Potion drops varying from 1 to 5 would do wonders for players of all level ranges, not just noobs. -

+1 on a related note, sfx volume gets out of hand if a bunch of them are played at the same time(multiple mobs being hit, mobbing skill sfx, even multiple people being hit). -
dagger 30s have a bbb drop from night foxes(that being said, crows have shoe jump 30, nightghosts have some 30s too) it would be really funny(and cruel) if gun 30s dropped from gobies cornians could easily get bow or gun 30 goby could get knuckle 30 the 70s can just be put wherever at endgame mobs and i think should have a slightly higher drop rate than the 60% drops (since there is that boom chance) you can also slap all of the drops onto bosses

hard agree. The website is DOGSHIT. dont see it changing anytime soon tho. Designing your own from scratch is very annoying and idk if theres a template out there that does fit the bill. definitely suggest design edit to the websites, adding some maple images(however cringe it might be) is a start. i think arnah did want to try to advertise on places like facebook but it wasnt possible to for him to do so and stay anonymous(and i dont think anybody offered to help there) Theres one thing that is clear to me now and that is not being able to find parties (especially outside the level range of the majority of the playerbase <120) basically makes you want to kill yourself. even at what can be considered mid level it is an extensive chore to find groups to train with without incurring a severe meso drain and im sure most players feel like shit if theres nobody to play with. for me 51-90 are hell levels for a myriad of reasons (bad exp spots, no pq, weaker job scaling, exp tnl scaling). another thing that really kills people is gear progression, going to the fm to find scrolls to power up their gear and seeing scrolls that cost well over 10mil a pop. gfas being 7mil a pop. even finding weapon 60%s is a struggle(and it never should be). zakum helmets existing. im sure theres a good chunk of people who quit trying to get or after getting a zhelm. this does get added in one of nexons updates, but given who knows when the next penis update is coming out, is better to add it now as opposed to push it off later no offense but theres definitely times where it feels like you suggest something because of the latter(personal gain, mostly nerfs to features you utilized quite a lot then ask for). if arnah scrubs this part of the post i wont even be mad i think itd be pretty funny

mages spend infinitely more meso bossing than when they grind. even with proper compensation its not something that is sustainable given enough mages and our elixir supply. mages single target damage is definitely lacking(especially when not on element weak damage), but not a whole lot that can be done without editting skill values imo. the block effect would definitely help, but what about bosses that dont do that? just buff the FIRE skills of a FIRE/poison mage. DoT hardly works in party play and usually griefs other people's rates. that being said nerfing the poison would effectively kill the class as is, and part of the charm of f/p is being able to use that DoT(and fard)and not just hold down ice strike(and occasional single target skill) like i/l mages there is also a considerably higher number of hermits as opposed to any other class at high levels, should convince people that mages are totally worth playing

They shoot very fast but deal no damage as the tradeoff due to the gun multiplier scaling being so bad early on. Invis shot's damage% is pretty strong, but it also hits 3 mobs, which makes no sense when other mobbing skills of ranged classes hit 6. Blank shot is also used in 3rd job when ice splitter does not work(i.e training on blue kentaurus). For comparison, arrow bomb is a group attack that has a guaranteed stun at max level, and hits 6 mobs, so why not have blank shot hit 6 also? Blank shot also has no mastery built into its damage formula, making it useful only for the stun while arrow bomb can still deal a significant amount of damage in comparison.

Title is exactly what it says. Pirates 1st and 2nd job are very weak and underwhelming, especially for gunslingers. Brawlers are in a slightly better spot, but still a little under powered. Here is what i would suggest for each: 1st job: Increase double shot damage from 80% to at least 110%(the kms value) or even higher Slightly increase the horizontal range of somersault kick(maybe by like 10-20 pixels) Not a skill buff, but increase the w.att of weapons under lv40 Brawler: Have backspin blow hit 6 mobs(the reason why not corkscrew blow is because its damage is quite high, and energy blast exists in 3rd job) Make barrel have a 0% chance to fail at lv10 Increase double uppercut damage from 290% to 320% Change stun so melee attacks do not remove stun(would also indirectly buff other attacks that stun, idgaf if its "proper", its bad game design and stupid) Gunslinger: Have invis shot hit 6 mobs Have blank shot hit 6 mobs Reduce mp cost of the skills above (especially considering now that gaviota is nerfed and likely to stay that way) I would like to hear about what others think as well.

bbb hidden street should have the accurate exp values for the pq clears(which ARE PENALIZED as the average lv of the party increases). as for the pq mobs themselves, they dont exactly give the best exp -

How would you make alternate content more viable than the exp meta maps? There are a lot of maps that can be categorized as off-meta. Hell, a lot of mobs got good scroll drops from v56 and I'm sure a lot of those mobs dont even get farmed. It's a logistical nightmare for Arnah to make even a decent portion of the alternate content available better than the meta. and again, PPQ can be adjusted to be balanced. If not PPQ, What about Romeo and Juliet PQ when magatia eventually releases? by those level ranges just grinding is multitudes of order better than what it can provide, and the pendant reward is just as, if not even more tedious to acquire. -

they are not easy to find unfortunately, I would suggest finding a guild that runs guild pq as gpq is still the best way to farm scrolls
