Currently: quit IGN: sewil Reason: pirates More reasons: low nx per vote, cant donate for nx anymore, only tryhard players still playing, market is dead cant sell anything

I like this idea, also make it 90% chance success rate and if it fails the helmet is destroyed at a 100% rate. Indirect nerf to helms without changing the lvl requirement. I also think normal helmets should still drop with their normal stats but with a much lower rate.
-
I don't think this solves anything other than further widening the gap between new and old players. Nobody under the lvl requirement will want to join or fund the runs so I think it will be hard to get any runs going.

Ironman-like restriction for only scrolled items where you can't trade/loot scrolled items that you didn't scroll yourself. In practice this means you can't add a scrolled equipment to your inventory (via trade/loot) since there is no way to track who scrolled an item, especially since multiple players can scroll the same item.

-1 unnecessary, just up your apm game

Monthly leaderboard based on exp gained, adjusted by level so it roughly equals amount of hours played and relative speed. Example if someone does 1-50 in a week that's still ranked higher than a level 170's daily grind even though they get more exp in that single day.

You can go in as duo but then you need 3 PQ mules each, and you still need to do all the portals. This change is a buff because you're making it easier to do exactly that. If you also remove the tele requirement you don't even need to make a mage mule, you can go in as all sins. LPQ popularity comes in waves, not long ago the recruitment channel was filled with R> LPQ +1 and every time it dies down for a bit someone wants to buff it.
-
Point is that this change just makes it easier to get in and easier to complete with mules. It's an LPQ buff for no reason, it doesn't increase social interaction, you're just pushing the problem. Now we're gonna have 4 active ppl and 1 mule instead. Point of PQ is as I said not to complete it as fast as possible to farm scrolls but to increase social interaction and solve challenges together. If you remove class restrictions you just dumb it down further so you can speedrun the PQ a bit faster

So I had an idea for a game restriction to retain some of that 2005/2006 nostalgia. With more and more new content coming out the server feels increasingly less nostalgic (and less challenging), yet it is still considered "old school maplestory", so I thought of a good compromise which would bring back some of that nostalgia (and challenge) while still being able to play in a later version. Some ideas: Client hard-locked to 800x600 resolution (forced full-screen?) No jump-down No monster info (HP/name mark) No party HP mark No quest helper Can't use Safety Charms Can't use EXP/Drop coupons Can't use mounts Can't access certain maps: Leafre Mu Lung / Herb Town Ariant / Ariant PQ Amoria (?) NLC / HH / CWK OPQ CPQ Helios Tower / KFT Can't use certain items: Pendants Newer items like leafre weapons/armor and balanced fury Maple Weapons? Would force you to use the OG weapons and armor. Baby Dragon Food / Heartstoppers / Onyx Apple If it gets released: Can't access Nautilus and can't advance to pirate Certain quests are disabled: First job training quests The Rememberer Dark Scroll quests Custom server commands like @time and @ping are disabled Probably a lot more that I can't think of now, happy to receive more ideas.

Whole point of PQs is to increase social interaction, not to have a bunch of PQ mules so you can farm your scrolls more easily. The PQ is designed with 6-man in mind so it should stay that way, spam more in recruitment channel instead

Just press esc+enter

Looks like this has been resolved. Thanks arnah ❤️

I think the problem is that players have outleveled the mobs due to lack of higher-level content. With more higher-level content and mobs there would be no need to increase spawn in lower-level areas

Agreed, but then the one-time fee should be higher, like 20m total to get all the equips. Item Pouch 4m, Meso Magnet 4m, Wing Boots 6m, Binocular 6m for example.

+1, so you don't waste time on the subway after activating coupons/buff. alternatively just put admin in fm

Add chat utf8 support enabling people to write in their native languages such as korean, hebrew, nordic languages, etc.

Command to roll a random number, for example @roll 6 to roll a random number between 1 and 6. The roll result message should also be visible to all party members so you can't cheat

This is only a problem atm because no donations. It's intentionally low so you'd almost always have to donate for cosmetics, and slot expansion/pets/charms aren't too easy to get. That being said donations aren't working right now, so maybe have an option to choose to vote for 1000NX Cash (Cosmetics/Name Change) instead of 400 Maple Points?

An NPC for upgrading bad pots to better pots, with a small fee involved. This would be a better deal than buying/selling via a grocer since the buy/sell ratio for pots is 200% which is really steep. I've made an example table for what it could look like: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ZZrOxeoOjtxlZaEUfjIMPgWtCw4U9Ds4VfL4bgRqCOY/edit?usp=sharing Let's make an example exchange via a grocer. I have 400 Blue Potions from Coolies that I wish to exchange for 50 Red Bean Sundaes. The sell value (SV) for 400 Blue Potions is 40k, while the buy value (BV) for 50 Red Bean Sundaes is 200k and the SV is 100k. This gives me a net loss of 60k. Using the example table above, let's instead imagine an exchange done via a pot exchange NPC: With 400 Blue Potions, I will pay a total exchange cost of 24k for 200 Mana Elixirs. With 200 Mana Elixirs, I will pay a total exchange cost of 21k for 100 Pure Waters. With 100 Pure Waters, I will pay a total exchange cost of 18k for 50 Red Bean Sundaes. The total exchange cost comes out to 63k. Adding the SV of the 400 Blue Potions (40k) the net loss comes out to 103k. We now subtract the SV of the gained 50 Red Bean Sundaes (100k) and the net loss comes out to 3k. No money has been generated, we have simply upgraded our bad pots to better pots for a very small fee. And ofc the table above is just a rough example, maybe being able to upgrade to elixirs/pelixirs is not something you want and maybe there should be a higher fee or no fee at all making upgrading free, but these are all balance tweaks that can be made.

Global buyback for equips NPC'd in the last 7 days. Would help new players mainly who can buy failed scrolled equips for real cheap. Stuff that is too tedious to try and sell in market. This could be done via Duey for example as he is kinda useless atm, or as a second buyback tab in the equip NPCs.

Opening system options and pressing ok always makes it fullscreen, even with "windowed" ticked
