  1. Why not just play ironman? Seems like a pretty small step between the two. If anything something should have been done for ironman a long time ago in regards to scroll acquisition and this would basically be that scenario. Way too late now though I think. Just borrow someone's 11 att wg and nametag it and pretend like you scrolled it.
  2. I actually like the skid from normal shoes. Good for slide casting explosion off of ledges. I'd rather keep the effect only on snowshoes or add the scroll that adds spikes to regular shoes.
  3. You only have to buy one name change if you delete the mule, or 0 if you delete then make a new character
  4. Increasing stack size of items would probably be a better solution to the ores and etc problem. I don't think we need more space though - just hoard less.
  5. I don't like the idea of receiving less than we do currently to start. I'd rather start at what we have now and scale up. Unless you specifically meant adding 200 extra NX to a vote for 600 points in all (currently we get 400 maple points per vote). I do like the vote streak and have even suggested it before somewhere. Currently there is no donation page - it has been removed for months now and very slow progress on returning it due to the nature of its removal. I also would not mind some type of mesos to nx conversion method as an option to expedite fashionstory growth.
  6. Counter suggestion: Turn guest login button into new donate button. Otherwise +1, get rid of it
  7. Anniversary only. That should be coming up in about a month.
  8. I have about 50k, so if there is a cap it is well above 8k. Sometimes gtop acts stupid about giving out your points though.
  9. Unlikely to ever happen, this is one of those features of the game that has been purposely excluded. There's no option and you remember correctly that the key combo was down+jump, it just doesn't work here.
  10. Hello, Unless Mano, Stumpy, etc were added in the recent v58 patch, they aren't currently in the game. There are some open world bosses like Mushmom, Jr. and Crimson balrog, Zombie Mushmom, Black Crow and a few others. If you can't find them it just means they haven't respawned yet. As for jump down, no plans to add that ever that I know of.
  11. Did you try logging in? I know the game always reverts to that size on the login screen and cash shop for my windowed mode.
  12. For kill count quests, 1 kill is just that. It only gets counted once. So, if you have 2 kill 100 quests for the same mob, you have to kill 200 - no double dipping! I think this changes in later versions, but this behavior is intended for now unfortunately.
  13. The main reason I don't think slots on mage stuff is all that enticing is simply because the matk formula is hollow compared to watk classes. Consider how big the gap between an 11 atk 5 stat glove and 14 atk 8 stat glove is. Adding another 2 or 3 slots to mage overalls wouldn't really do much in the grand scheme of things I don't think, because the difference between a 30(!) stat robe with a 70 luk requirement and a 40 stat(!!!) robe with a 90 luk requirement still doesn't add up to the same benefit. A wand/staff with 2 extra slots adds up to an additional likely 6 matk, which is a straight buff since base matk on wands scales 1:1 with luk requirement increases, but it still pales in comparison to glove upgrades. I think it's an option to consider, at least for the mages who have already pumped enough luk to wear high level robes, but if making luk mage a viable option is the end goal, the easiest point to address is just luk requirements. This isn't even considering the low probability of ever seeing these perfectly scrolled robes, or the obvious availability issue of said scrolls. GFA is one of the most available scroll types while overall luk/int is one of the least available.
  14. If 1 luk was also worth 1 magic attack that would eliminate the statless dominance for mages instantly. Of course it would also be a pretty big buff, but maybe there's some lower magic attack value that would be a good way to close the gap without eliminating lukless builds entirely. I really don't like just npcing high level mage gear because of how useless it is.
  15. Refresh? Never. The chests/herbs at the end just dispense a few ores after the associated quest is finished.
  16. I think a voting streak would be a nice reason to remember to vote. Maybe every 7 day streak, the last vote is worth 1,000 points or even 1200. That amounts to an average daily increase of about 25% if the streak is maintained at all times. Loss aversion is a powerful tool to abuse in getting people to remember to do something!
  17. Very good! I will be sure to add you in game and answer you if you have any questions or want to discuss ironman strategy/lifestyle. It looks like you acknowledged your goals are lofty and nigh unachievable as an ironman, since scrolls are extremely sparse in availability, but I am interested to see how you plan to tackle all of that. I am at level 92 with a total of 14 used scrolls (excluding 100%s), most of which were random 10% drops. Glad to see others take up the challenge.
  18. I've definitely re-evaluated my opinion of deep ludi recently, and the conclusion I arrived at is outside of vikings (+gigs) and death teddies, the spawn is just too sparse for the sprawl. I think bumping up the capacity for maps like MDT, Grims, even GP/DGP would go some distance in making it more bearable, plus party friendly. As for the lower level mobs (paths 1+2 of either side) they probably would need their exp jacked way up or their hp reduced significantly to make them even an option. Clocks and buffoons are such trash enemies it's amazing they were even put in the game. Even with the highly valuable drops either of them have no one is stupid enough to waste the time grinding on these maps at appropriate levels.
  19. Currently (reasonably) active with no intention of abandoning. I enjoy ironman mode, it takes away the worry about efficiency that relies on things like other players and mules and funding. Arnah is an equitable GM that resolves player issues in a timely manner and has no history of abusing his power. The hands-off approach works the vast majority of the time rather than being involved in everyone's business. Only feedback would be to engage the playerbase a little bit more regularly and work on plans to draw in and retain new players since the social aspect of the game is the most fun part, not hitting the mushroom with big numbers. I enjoy the oldschool vibe, but question some of the bad changes that Nexon made long ago that still made it into the game today, despite there being an obvious effort to curb undesirable content that doesn't align with the server's vision from making it to the game. I don't mind that garbage content like gachapon, lmpq or nlc pots or 3rd tier maple weapons have been nixed from the game, but why is mapletv and its associated landscape changes here, and why do strong event mobs overrun new player training grounds? Some content seems like obvious exclusion-worthy stuff, but makes it anyway. In any case I have hope that some root cause issues will be addressed to make the state of the game better. Player retention and incentives to actively play priest at high levels are my personal top two concerns, which at least the latter has had taken steps for.
  20. I remember testing wizard pots a few months back, and their duration was actually 5 minutes instead of the stated 3. It effectively made them the same as ancient tree sap, just a lot easier to obtain.
  21. I think I'd like to see HT slain or nearly at least once in the server's life. I don't see that being accomplished without at least a couple tweaks. Even if it was pottable seduce and damage reduction nerfs, I would still call it a stretch to think HT could be taken down, just given how much of a slog the fight is with 3rd job dps. I think many of these suggestions are perfectly reasonable for a HT that is still tougher (relatively) than normal.
  22. Another idea I just thought of is to change the luk requirements for weapons. Currently since it is always level+3, there is a net zero gain to adding luk as new weapons are obtained, assuming each weapon increases m.att by the same number over the luk requirement. If the requirement was something like 4/5 level +3 instead, higher level weapons could see some advantage.
  23. The only mage class that benefits from luk is f/p mage, and that is pretty much solely because of Evil Wings' attack speed and its interaction with explosion. Even for us there is no reason to really go beyond that, and in GMS there was the Poison Mushroom that fulfilled that role for lukless mages. I think Kradia's suggestion is a great one because it acts as both a small buff overall, and more importantly makes mage drops at least a little bit more exciting and valuable than what the npc pays.
  24. The only reason I brought up GK's dark arund drop is because no one would hunt them if that was all they dropped. I can't say the same about mambas and eclipses, because those are for classes that people actually play, and now that they are available elsewhere, who is left farming GKs for that dark arund? 🙂 Also, the 20 sets of stars lifespan I estimate is longer than the 100 white pots I get to use, but again, the trips to the pot shop really aren't a half hour long odyssey. From vikings, I can town scroll, shop, sell, and get back before drops disappear.
  25. I understand the destination part, but seeing how I have managed so far on a limited inventory, I know that more frequent pot shop trips really aren't the huge deal they are made out to be. Most early maps are only a little bit away from a town, and a couple minutes of downtime is a perfectly reasonable tradeoff for only having 0-2 sets of ilbis and some other stars instead of having 20 sets of ilbis. The only cases where capacity really matters are bosses, and those maps that are very far from town, which seem to be fewer and fewer up until Leafre came around. The issue about having to farm mesos or farm stars isn't that bad either since they are almost as good as cash for anyone hunting them, and the enemies that drop them typically are very popular to hunt for that purpose. No one is going to gatekeepers to farm a dark arund aside from people that have no other means of getting one. Getting access to meso up is also a huge deal when it comes to meso farming, so hunting for stars is especially valuable for a hermit. Even then, if you're stuck using tobis for a long time, those are pretty much dirt cheap, and you won't be a bad class just based on the fact that you only have those. You will not be a #1 damage dealer, but it's not like you're suddenly hitting 1s with anything cheaper than a steely.
