I try to explain this as best as possible in the about page. Most EXP hairs before v41 will be in the REG&VIP option. If they don't exist in VIP, they don't exist in REG. Mu Lung has EXP so players wont know what hairs exist in that unless you RNG for the special hairs.

Nexon started putting checks to prevent RWT activity around v41. It requires a level 16 character. More checks were added in v42 while also letting characters lower than level 16 to purchase shops if the account passes a date check.

Changes for documentation / use by players of Phoenix. Can find a general WZ addition list from https://maplestory.wiki/GMS/43 although it wont show additions to Item.wz while also not showing any deleted/changed content. A complete v42 > v43 WZ diff is provided as attachment but without any fancy pictures. This update is considered a bug fix update and has no official patch notes by nexon. v42-v43.txt

I have no plans to change exp rate because version updates do that for us automatically. More quests, party quests, training areas, scrolls all make the game easier and every version update touches at least one of those. An issue exists though where people see "1x" and lose interest despite v1 1x and v41 1x being insanely different for even level 1-30. I also saw a mention about making a basic set of pets for meso with the rest being maple points which I think is fine and can look into.

A temporary fix has been applied to live servers for awhile so I'll be moving this to resolved.

Not sure when quest kill counter sharing was added but v40 definitely still only let it count towards one(Unless it was region specific).

Make sure to download https://static.playphoenix.ca/vc_redist.x86.exe just to rule out that being the possible error causing client from not opening. Since v39 certain errors are not showing due a change nexon did with packing the client. I'm still looking for the best way to fix this issue.

We have no control over what GTOP does. Make sure no one else is using your IP to vote on GTOP. You can only vote for 1 server on gtop per day on every ip. Can try other browsers. Mobile data also will let you have a different ip which might let you do a successful vote.

We protect our client(Phoenix.dll) to prevent other people stealing Erics work. Tools like the one we use are also commonly used for virus/malware creators because they obviously don't want people to be able to easily see what the program does. This creates an issue where false positives can exist. This update has actually one of the lowest false positive count that I've seen for us. If you give the name of what antivirus you use we can contact them to verify and remove the false positive. Sadly no real way exists to prevent false positives as any virus/malware creator would also do it. Also did a scan on the v39 folder I have with the windows 2004 update and latest virus/threat protections.

Task manager can still be opened and controlled using arrow keys its just you kind of have to guess what you are pressing delete(end task) on Alt f4 might also work Can also try to spam click the window so windows gives you a "not responding" popup and click close.

The drop fix wasn't applied in the 5/30 update

I currently have no clue when I'll stop updating Phoenix but the only thing I can think of atm that will be left out is 4th job and probably newer scrolls. Other things will be adjusted to not ruin the balance as much. I feel like 4th job should have been fully decided on launch which I didn't do. Ends up creating a community that will not want it later on since it wasn't confirmed and changing a decision as big as that later on isn't something the community perceives nicely.
